I got all I need all the time...and in every way!

As moms, we sometimes feel our shortcomings define us. But we need to be encouraged this day that we have all we need at all times. That is God truth spoken over our lives, our marriage, our children...our family! We are ready for every good work...more than ready. We are poised to abound.

And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.

I breath a big sigh of relief this morning. It is good to know that even though we are imperfect (check out the new title of the blog...the "daily" thing is not happening at the moment!) we can receive direction from God himself who is perfect. He is above space and time and knows where I need to go and what I need to accomplish as a mom, as a wife, as a woman in the Kingdom of God. He knows and has specialized counsel and help for me! YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS! I am more than OK! I am more than accomplished with His Hand and His Help.

First Day of School with a Twist

After much debating, wrestling, and prayer...lots of prayer...My husband and I decided to homeschool this year.

I am still kicking out past ideas and notions that I had about homeschooling (i.e. they are Quakers/Puritans, socially stunted). I have decided that those are the opinions of society and not necessarily mine.

Our official first day of homeschooling felt like an official day. Excitement the night before and jitters the morning of the first day. We planned to complete our homeschooling at the local library-starting at 9 am. Much to my surprise the library did not open until 10am! It is times like this when your type A, inflexibility nature surfaces. We ran an errand and came back to the library at 10am. As we set up the two laptops and logged on...I breathed with a sigh of relief. Thank you Lord! It's working. We CAN do this! I stepped back in pride at what God is piecing and weaving together in our marriage, our family and our children. The best thing is, He is just getting started. This is just day one. This is just the beginning.

Come what may this school year, I know that God is there for it all. He hears my cheers, grunts, and moans. He is always here and we as moms are never alone. We always having a loving Dad to turn to at any moment of the day!
